Talk to me about Flash's.  I need a reasonably priced one for that can rotate as well as point for bounce flashing.

Shale just bought a new flash....Canon I think.  She should chime in to let you know how she likes it.

I use a Canon Speedlite 420EX...older model but works great.  It has a remote but I haven't used that too often, maybe once or twice.  It rotates and angle up and down.  I have used it a ton for bounce lighting.  I also use it to counter-light sometimes to reduce harsh shadowing.

I ran out of batteries on Christmas Eve and as a result I had to use the camera flash....FAIL.  Everyone should use their camera flash to have an example of exactly where to NOT point the flash lol  Then, go get an external :)

I have two of those Hong Kong cheapos...
Yongnuo yn460 and Yongnuo yn560
I've had the 460 for over two years and love it. Don't let the price reflect quality, these cheap things work just as well as name brand Speedlights. The 460 was about $50 and the 560 was about $65. Look through the different Yongnuo options online, I chose the 460 because it does TTL and Manual, the 560 doesn't do TTL but works in Manual and has two Slave settings. It also triggers off another flash without a remote trigger attached.

I just got the Canon Speedlite 430EXII. I haven't had much chance to play with it. I also got an inexpensive diffuser to fit over the flash to soften it up a little. I'll try to post more later after I've had a chance to use it.

i generally will stick with your traditional trench coat and bithday suit, but occasionally like to mix it up with some velcroe pants and a half shirt, and maybe somethin tied around the fellas for shock factor.
