Scott Murphy killed this buck yesterday, on the YTC (Yakima Training Center). Looks like a whitetail!

Well I got to pull the trigger today! My hunting partner Gordo, shoot this buck in the front leg this mourning about 8:00. After tracking him into a big steep canyon, I jumped him out of his bed and made the kill shot, then he rolled down the hill another 100yds! Didn't get him packed out until 3:30 this afternoon. The OLD guys won, but we took heavy casualties (knees, backs, ankles, etc.). My ass is whipped, I going to bed.

Nice job Bill and Gordon! Where were ya at when ya killed? That buck that scott shot is definetly a weirdo. Looks like a cross between all three. Mulie, black tail and white tail. I would have shot him too so he wouldnt be able spread his tainted seed any longer lol

We had a permit for the Teanaway unit, which takes in all the country north of I-90, west of 97, to the top of  Snoqualmie Pass! We never saw a deer in the entire Teanaway dralnage, excluding the local pet deer at the lower end! We ended up hunting on the 97 side of the unit. Saw a few deer, but not a lot, no big bucks. The weather was just to warm, snow level to high. Had fun though, got to hunt some neat country. Here's some pics.

Camp in the Teanaway, opening day, snow just kept melting after this.

I'm not in any way bashing hunting/fishing (it's a great activity), but I would like to say (my own opinion ... for what it is worth) that live things are cool, dead things are dead.

It's the most comfortable pack that I've owned.  All my old packs never fit me correctly.  One feature that I love is that it has an aluminum external frame that holds the pack away from your back so you don't sweat out quickly.  The model I have is the Bivy 30 pack.  Tons of storage but also compacts well when not full.

50 lbs of burger
60lbs of steaks
15lbs of roasts
15lbs of jerky
And 25lbs of pep stick, I'd say she was bigger than I thought. The freezer is packed.

These are my Dad's kills, & some his mounts.
He & his wife went on a Safari hunt in 2006 & came back with a bunch of trophys, they still haven't mounted all of them yet.
(From L-R) Warthog, Zebra, Cape Buffalo, Kudu, Water buck, Blue wilderbeast, not sure about all the skulls. One of them is a Heiena, the single skull is a Baboon.
A carving of the big 5 game of Africa, & a poster showing all the common game.
All taken from Zimbabwa
