Had insanityfab cut me out some frame plates so I could box my frame
Posted ImagePosted Image

Morphed the old front frame of the sami (already had bumper, winch cradle and shackle hangers) into the jeep frame
Posted ImagePosted Image

Then had build-it bend me up a push barPosted ImagePosted Image

Build-it also bent up my cage. I couldn't be happier with the result

Got it almost completely welded last night before I ran out of gas

Made a high lift mount for Blaine and mueller9 since they don't think they need to carry tools... Posted Image

These tabs from ruffstuff are awesome for mounting your harnesses
Posted Image

Mounted my tail and reverse lights
Posted Image

These tie down tabs fro ruffstuff are also tits as well! I'm going to run a Rubbermaid action packed on each rear fender well

Mocked up my fuel cell. It's not my first choice but it was the right price and I don't have enough money for a new one so I had to make it work. Of course I had to make sure I could fit a cooler for the trail soda's :)

Copied jeepinjunk's trick for finding your valve stems when your wheels packed with snow

A few pics of the rear spring hangers
Posted ImagePosted Image

Front shock hoops and tabs welded on. Still need to gusset them

Learned how do to body work with my grandpa... what a slooooow process, probably cause he's almost 80 and a darn perfectionist. I wanted the jeep satin (flat) navy, the same color my sami was but my grandpa can't see and laid the paint on too thick and close. So now it's glossy navy lol. The first scratch/dent is going to hurt Attached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423875863.681471.jpg   241.08K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423875880.782786.jpg   296.92K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423875902.663175.jpg   206.83K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423875931.208154.jpg   187.2K   17 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423875945.150970.jpg   224.42K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423876032.942513.jpg   199.48K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423876053.603406.jpg   184.58K   16 downloadsAttached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423876070.862225.jpg   230.74K   16 downloads

I wish I would've taken some pictures when I picked them up but I had finish line powdercoat my frame and cage hammered black. Came out awesome! The next pic I have after paint is putting the tub on the frame for the final (hopefully) time Attached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423876231.726584.jpg   294.44K   17 downloads

Once the cage was in it was time to mount my steering column and pedals. I used the sami column, pedals, brake booster, complete brake system, etc Attached File  ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423876889.925941.jpg   273.28K   15 downloads

Once I get my dash made I will run all the ducting and vents. One outlet for defrost, one for vents and one for the feet
