On the 205 how do you shave weight? Machine off the growth on the front output side?

NO CHICK'S :crybaby:

Brakes are boring anyways! Looking forward to how you choose to shift the trans. Did the trans come with a converter?

Yes plan on hacking off the top corner.  It's not much weight savings but may make it easier to package.  The transmission came with a torque convertor.  I plan on doing everything the same as Kenny blumes car besides axles and shocks/bypasses.  The more I think about it I may not do the mast performance package.  I have a lot of time to think about that though.

I want arbs but have money for Lincolns.  Then we get back to the old debate over which axle should be selectable.

If I was to do it again I'd seriously consider a 205 over an atlas for sheer bulletproofness. Over the last 5 years we've blown up 3 atlas's. Advanced Adapters has starting upgrading the cases because they were more of a crawling case and not meant for ultra4 type racing but to start doing housing upgrades and bearing upgrades it starts getting to be big $$$. The 205 is proven in much worse conditions than even I'd give it.

The only cons to a 205 in my option is the ratio and weight.  I think the 4:1 first in the 6l80 will make up for it tho.

Any opinions on spools.  I am leaning that way. Cheap and relieable.

Call CJ at Ed's Auto in Morton. I think he told me, he had a D60 Detroit, that he'd make someone a deal on. 360-496-5141 ;)

Slowly but surely.  Was planning on a big order from goat built next week but, a good deal came up on a mode of transportion for koh this year.  So, that will be put off for awhile.  Ballistic has really turned things around.  Awesome place to do business with now.   I still hate their "badge" though.

Loaded my transmission up toady.  Its huge.  I didn't think they were much bigger then the 4l60e. I was wrong! I can load a 4l60 by myself. Not going to happen with this beast.
