I've wanted to go to Sand Hollow and this sounds badass! http://thetrailhero.com/

The Trail Hero

Can you hear that? Right now it seems faint, being slatted for October of 2016. However, what’s coming is the only event in 2 decades of rock sports history to place all aspects of our great sport into one picturesque/powerhouse location. This event will have quite a few very defining features that will bring in a broad interest on multiple levels.

To understand this event, you must first look at the world class facility of Sand Hollow, in Hurricane, Utah. Offering thousands of all access off-road acreage embedded with trails ranging from Mild to Wild; Sand Hollow also offers the only location that entails a 5 star resort retreat complete with 18 hole golf course, spa treatment facilities, high end restaurant, villas, and services. Along with lake access year round, both dry and wet camping facilities, and the City of Hurricane, only 3 miles away make this a prime location.

Trail Hero will host a Charitable Bass Fishing and Golf Tournament 4 days prior to trail rides on 17 trails for Jeeps, Buggies, and UTV’s, conquering “Bounty” obstacles, breaking new ground on the hardest trail in the country, capturing a night Rock Crawling competition, showcasing a high speed Endurance Rock Race, and tying together the industry with a very formidable vendor show that features charitable raffles, live music, onsite catering, car show, and Closing Ceremonial Film of the event.

Simply put, no single event has ever had every aspect of our sport on one platform until now, all while being FREE to Spectators. Charitable donations accepted by Utah Public Lands Alliance and Utah 4 Wheel Drive Association.

Looks like it would be a fun trip, and I am due for an out of state run BUT I wont be able to attend. The same two words Phantom used applies to me.  Wife.Kid. Both of there birthdays fall during this event.

I think you may be right. I don't think I really realized how epic this could be until doing more reading last night. It's not a stretch to think that this really could be the next KOH!

Just to clarify though.....my wife and kid are down with stuff like this! My wife is happy to let me do whatever I want and Macy just wants to go. Quitting my job is what wouldn't go over well! I get 15 days vacation. 6 days for KOH, 4 days for WV Fair (it's not negotiable,) and three days for a scheduled dune trip doesn't leave many left over. Taking non vacation days is frowned on...BUT this may be to good to miss. If this thing lives up to it's potential it would be worth it to be at the inaugural event!
