Hey all, long time no see! I know this isn't really a Jeep, Toyota, or buggy, and it's a lot less hardcore than I'm used to. Just wanted to share the progress on my new car.
It's a 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i with a CVT Automatic, Symmetrical AWD. No lockers, nothing real fancy either. Just some bigger tires, lift, and soon to be undercarriage 3/16" Aluminum skid plates for the engine, trans, and rear diff.
Here's the day I bought it:
One of the first things I did was add a 20" light bar behind the bumper, was kind of a pain. I'm pretty happy with the output of the bar though.
Next was some bigger, beefier tires. They're 235/75r15 (Basically 29x9.5r15) Falken Wildpeak AT3W's with Method Race wheels in a 15x7, +15mm Offset. They were a tight fit @ stock height, but it's a trade off of big tires on a mom car.
Clearance between tire and front strut tower:
It was very close in the back, a bit of articulation or load in the back caused some minor rubbing on the fender lip, slicing the lug of the tires a bit:
Recently it got lifted 2 inches by a local company called Sumo Parts. The full kit includes 4 strut-top lift blocks, trailing arm spacers, and a sub frame spacer kit for the rear.
Thanks for checking it out! More to come as stuff arrives in the coming months.
