Living in the country is great! Took all these within spittin distance of my house.
According to my bird book, this is the Eurasian Collared Dove.
Was introduced to the Bahamas in 74, spread to Florida by the late 70's,
up the east coast and west to Texas by 2000. First saw one in my yard in
the winter of 2010-2011. Now there are at least 2 pair nesting near by. I see
them every day.

The neighbors horses. Not exactly wildlife, but they went wild, when I started taking pics.

Baby Robins, 2 days from leaving the nest.

I saw this guy on a Dandelion in the backyard yesterday.
He's a Great Spangled Fritillary!

We have lots of frogs around here, they come in several
different colors.

These little guys are very common around my place.
I can't identify! There are a lot of Salamanders that
have similar colors, but I can't find anything that is
identical.

Oh! I finally found him on a salamander ID site. He's a Western Long Toed, a sub-species of a Mole Salamander.

Figured out why there is a Robin always hanging out in our honeysuckle. I'm a little slow.

Today was a perfect picture day and unfortunately I had no shoots booked so I headed out to the garden and played with the macro lens.  This guy just hung out.

Baby Loggerhead Sea Turtles found 3 days after the main batch of Turtles had hatched.  These guys were a little late to the party.

I might, I'll have to look.  He and his buddy (in the brush to the right of him) came almost down to where the post is.....very close to me.  The wind was blowing hard away from me and they seriously had no idea I was there until I moved.  If I have anymore they will be very dark.  This was well after sunset.

Cool Just wanted a better look at his horns. Keep tabs on him those horns would look cool laying around the house.
