I strongly disagree with this. In fact I feel the opposite. I am very easy on my equipment. Sure I have some dents but I drive slow and easy most of the time.  Other than working out some bugs when I first built my Jeep I have always got back out under my own power. This weekend the tires weren't really my fault. Todd was the one that mounted the beadlocks. :2guns:

I nominate Phantom 309.

When we went to Reiter he had a dead battery and broke 2 longfields.
When we went to Nasty Creek with a bunch of rednecks he let his jeep get flopped over off a tree in the driveway
When he went to French Canyon he tried to drive out of a flop for so long he spun the rod bearings in the engine
When he judged the first Winter Challenge he blew the engine again
The windshield frames on his jeep never lasted more than 1 run
When we went to TSF he broke his rear locker
When he went to Rimrock, he rolled off a hill and broke his camera lens
When he was cheating practicing for the 3-ball comp he broke the front ring & pinion
When he went to Groundhog he let someone drive and yardsaled the entire drivetrain.
When we went to Cowiche he broke the frame in 3 places, messed up his winch, broke a door latch, flat tire, and had steering problems.

Hard on equipment.

I forgot about Reiter. :blushing:

But half of those weren't even me, just my rigs. I'm a victim of my own generousity.

Ya, but he drives slow and easy most of the time! Anybody that can FU that much stuff while driving "slow and easy" has my vote. At least Jew, RR151, and I have an excuse! We don't drive "slow and easy most of the time". :ice:

As told by Jeepin Junk:

We were kickin' ass on our way outta Darland in the spring. I was on the gas, but that god damned Atkins was pullin away from me. Or was it Blaine? Hell I don't remember...anyway I come hAUlin ass around the corner and there's a god damned ditch in the middle of the road. It musta been ten feet deep and eight feet across. Musta been from the runoff, why in the hell else would there be a damned ditch in the road? Anyway I don't even have time to think, I though "this is it" and I cobb the throttle.  BAM! I lAUNch off that sucker, hit the other side so god damned hard that it launches me back up in the air. I figure my jeep is broke in half but it's stil goin' so I got back on the throttle and ya know what? That damned thing was gettin faster. I thought "hell I'm gonna catch em! Right on!"

Then it just sputters and dies. Dead. Right there in the middle of the goddamned trail. I get out and give it the once over but can't find anything wrong.  I'm under the hood scratchin' muh head wondering what in the hell was wrong with that god damned thing. Everything looked good. So a few minutes later that god damned Brent...I think it was Brent...maybe it wasn't.....yeah, I remember it was Brent. Anyway that god damned Brent pulls up beside me (he was way behind us cause he drives slow) and says "HEY BILL! Theres somebody's gas tank just layin in the road upside down dumping gas about a mile back!!"

I've also heard a story of jeepinjunk doing Mach 80 with a missing link bolt, the link dragging on the ground, and the rear axle shifted over about a foot.  No spare bolt could be found, so someone jammed a u-bolt in the hole and he proceeded to resume Mach 80.

Anybody confirm this tale?

ya i think phantom also is hard on stuff and not just his own (his camera ain't the only one he's ran over, you'd think he had something against em.  probably all the evidence they've shown over the years)

Not my fault. Too much ballast in the passenger seat.

I guess you can add "custom toothless ring and pinion and broken front locker after 10 minutes of drive time" to b-dazzle's list too.
